google3aece25de1f729e8 Matribox - 5 Free Presets | Alex Price Musician
top of page

This is a collection of straightforward guitar tones in the style of a few of my favorite Fender, Vox, Marshall, and Peavey amps. The Matribox comes with a large number of factory presets, but I felt like there wasn't much there in the way of just your standard electric guitar tones for classic rock and pop styles. I built a few of my own presets and bundled them with a guide on the global settings and a "stock preset" for you to use as a template for creating your own presets.

If you like this free bundle, maybe also check out some of the larger bundles I've created and offer for just $5: 10 classic amp tones / 10 modern amp tones.

What you’re getting:

   - 5 presets for single coil pickups

   - 5 presets for humbucking pickups

   - Detailed info on each preset

   - Stock preset template & backup

   - Recommended global settings guide

Here's a quick list of the presets and their real-world counterparts:

Deluxe.prst             - '65 Fender black panel Deluxe

Each preset is available in two versions: one for single coil pickups, and one for humbuckers. All presets have been level-matched.

These are presets designed to be plugged straight into a full range system. Studio monitors at home, a professional sound system at a gig, a smaller full range (FRFR) speaker for rehearsal, or even something flat response like an acoustic amp for low volume practice would work. The presets were designed and tuned at high volumes, so you can trust that they'll perform well with a band. If you want to use these presets with a guitar amp, just bypass the amp and cabinet simulation. If you want to use them with a cab & flat power amp, you can bypass the cab in each preset or do that across all presets in the global settings menu.
